the rise of grassroots screenings!
After a theatrical release on January 28, 2015, which was not initially planned, En Quête de Sens has gathered more than 130,000 spectators in theaters in France, Belgium and Switzerland. Improvised in three months, the distribution was built in a collaborative manner thanks to the support of a highly mobilized community made up of associative networks (Les Colibris, Alternatiba, etc.) and committed citizens who organized nearly 500 ciné-échanges.
Six years after its theatrical release, numerous citizen screenings continue to take place in cinemas and outside. Companies, students and schoolchildren continue to be very sensitive to the film’s themes.
During a film exchange, the meeting with the public offers a space for free speech around the societal transformation and the inner journey of each person. These are also great opportunities to highlight local initiatives of ecological and human transition.
